Adoptable Birds

Interested in parrots but unsure if being a lifetime parront is right for you? Being a foster parront is a great way to test the waters of parronting while helping out parrots in need! Best of all - as a foster parront, you have first option to adopt your fid if you fall in love :)

Become a Foster parront

NEW - Peter Blue

Peter Blue is a blue-fronted amazon, believed to be 11 years old. He was with his previous family for 6 years, and we are told he does not like women. He is currently in a temporary foster home with a male and female foster parront, being evaluated. So far, he has been a perfect little gentleman to both men and women. Time will tell if he truly has a preference, but one thing we know for sure is that he is one of the CUTEST amazons we have ever seen! Stay tuned for a better photo and update as his personality reveals itself :)

NEW - Chicken & Nugget

Stay tuned for update!

Mango the Lovebird

Mango is an adorable little lovebird. His age is unknown. He is a bit of a bully to other birds, so we do not recommend putting him in with other lovebirds. He is not hand-tame but could be if you are willing to put in a little work.

Kiwi and Aqua the Budgies

These two boys are a bonded pair. They are both males, so worries about breeding. They are currently in a communal living situation (housed with other parakeets) and get along well with their flockmates, but would be fine if it was just the two of them. While they are handleable, they are a bit on the wild side and could use some work to get them to warm up to people.

Goose and Hokey the Budgies

Goose and Hokey are a bonded pair of parakeets. Goose is female and Hokey is a male, so it is crucial that their new home not provide any kind of nesting area, to prevent breeding. They are currently in a communal living situation (housed with other parakeets) and get along well with their flockmates, but would be fine if it was just the two of them.

Thing 1 the Cockatiel

Thing 1 is a young cockatiel. He is a bit on the wild side but could be tamed down if you have the patience. He came in with Thing 2, but they are not bonded so they could go to separate homes.

Thing 2 the Cockatiel

Thing 2 is a young cockatiel. He is a bit on the wild side but could be tamed down if you have the patience. He came in with Thing 1, but they are not bonded so they could go to separate homes.

Fostered with Intent to Adopt - Nova the Umbrella Cockatoo

Nova may have found his forever family! He just moved over to his new foster home and they have high hopes that he will become a permanent member of their family.

Pending Adoption - Sir Squawks a Lot

Sir Squawks a Lot is an older blue crowned conure. He is brand new to the rescue so he is still in evaluation, stay tuned for more details! What we do know is that Sir came from a home that loved him very much but did not handle him, so he will need some work to be handleable. He does have the cutest little voice and is quite chatty at times, but in true conure fashion and true to his name, he can also be VERY loud.

Pending Adoption - Jaybird

Jaybird is a teenage yellow-naped amazon. Despite having a wide vocabulary, including a bit of a potty mouth, he is one of the quietest birds you will meet. Jaybird does have a few health issues - he is blind in one eye and doesn't seem to see well out of the other. He also has a few tumors on his body, but the vet said these are just fatty tumors and should shrink down now that he is on a better diet. Jaybird is currently being fostered and will likely be adopted by his foster parronts.

Pending Adoption - Baby and Gabby

Baby and Gabby are a pair of bonded black-capped caiques. They are settling in to their foster home and being converted to a healthy diet. Their foster parront reports that they are quite the little characters. They are not yet available for adoption, and it is likely their foster parront will adopt them.
